Catalyst Communications Group expands to South Florida, adds Rachael Lobeck
Catalyst Communications Group, the leading media relations and public affairs firm in Tampa Bay, is expanding into South Florida with the hiring of Rachael Lobeck.
Lobeck brings 15 years of earned media, brand storytelling and integrated communications experience to the Catalyst team, along with a personal history in South Florida that goes back generations.
“Adding Rachael to the Catalyst team comes at the perfect time as we grow into South Florida," said Preston Rudie, Founder and CEO of Catalyst Communications Group. "Her background across conservation, consumer brands and the boating and outdoor industries, combined with her genuine ties to this community, makes her the right person for this next chapter in Miami."
With a career spanning in-house communications and marketing roles across South Florida, Lobeck got her start at iHeartMedia coordinating radio promotions in the Miami market, then went on to manage public relations and event planning for multimillion-dollar sportfishing tournaments with Bluewater Movements. She later built and led public relations programs at 4ocean and Jazwares, each generating billions of media impressions within her first year, before developing communications strategy for Boats Group and its platforms, including Boat Trader, YachtWorld and boats.com.
As a multi-generational South Floridian, Lobeck has watched the region grow and change throughout her life, giving her a firsthand understanding of the community she serves professionally.
"There's something special about getting to represent the place you grew up in," said Lobeck. "I'm excited to join the Catalyst team and extend their relationship-first approach to media relations to the Miami area, in a community I care deeply about. I believe the best stories are the ones rooted in authenticity and I'm looking forward to bringing that mindset to the clients we serve here."
Lobeck is a recipient of Boating Industry magazine's 40 Under 40 award for her work in public relations in the marine industry and holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in Multimedia Journalism. She is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America, where she sits on her local chapter's programming committee.
